The portion under the handguard is .140" thicker than a standard M4 barrel to provide extra rigidity to resist loss of accuracy caused by barrel overheating. Chambered for 5.56mm NATO, with 1-9" rifling. Comes with gas port pre-drilled, barrel extension with M4-style feed ramps, and "-28 tpi muzzle threads to accept a wide range of aftermarket flash hiders and muzzle brakes.
