We first saw the detachable, JP-SRTS sight in action at a 3-gun, tactical match.
Attaching this compact, secondary sight to a Picatinny mount on the side of the handguard gave AR-15 shooters the edge when engaging targets from point blank range out to 40 yards. The rigid aluminum bar supplements optics and other precise, long range sight setups required for the long-range stages.
Once clamped in place (1 or 2 o’clock position recommended) simply cant the rifle to instantly acquire the A-2 style, front sight post. Dovetailed, rear notch provides plenty of windage adjustment; set front sight elevation using a standard, A2, front sight tool.
